The Royal Treatment

Do you know that your skin is the largest living organ on your body! It protects the sensitive layers that protect the muscles that protect the other functioning organs that keep us healthy and alive. Your skin should be treated like royalty!

Your epidermis (the outer layer you see) should feel soft, smooth and healthy. The truth is, it doesn’t always feel that way and sometimes you need a little help. That’s were a healthy skincare regimen comes into play. Do you have one? If so, CONGRATULATIONS!! If you don’t that’s ok, I’ll help you get started.

Cleanse

Clean your skin with a body cleanser or soap that will help resolve your skins condition. For example, moisturizing soap or shower gel, acne clear body gel, etc.

Exfoliate

A term used to remove dry skin from your skin. During certain times of the year even oily skin can and will get dry. There are different options available when it comes to exfoliating your skin and we can go down a rabbit hole discussing them. For now, we’ll just say exfoliate the skin. But I would encourage you to try Scrub Me Down Body Scrub or buy the exfoliating gloves available where body care is sold.

Moisturize

This is sooo much fun! There is a moisturizer for EVERYTHING! Dry skin, Oily Skin, Acne prone skin, Sensitive skin. There are oils, butters, creams and balms, AAGGHH! So many choices, I get so excited just thinking of the options (happy dance break). We can discuss those options in an other blog, for now, just moisturize as soon as you get out the tub or shower. This will form a protective barrier that will lock in the moisture in the skin.

Now that you have some direction on starting you own skincare regimen, I hope that you start seeing changes in your skin by treating it like royalty. These steps will help Illuminate Your Skins Heritage!
